Services We Offer
Physiotherapy:
- Manual Therapy
Manual Therapy is a therapeutic approach, which specifically uses the hands, to evaluate and mobilize the different tissues surrounding joints. Treatment is based on a structured evaluation that differentiates joint, muscle and nerve components associated with the client's condition. We apply a range of techniques that include soft tissue and joint mobilizations / manipulation. This is complemented by specific exercises to help maintain the effects of treatment and by advice on how to avoid recurrences.
Manual Therapy has proven its effectiveness in the treatment of various conditions i.e. headaches, osteoarthritis, back pain, temporomandibular joint problems, shoulder problems, sports injuries and more.
- Exercise Therapy
Physiotherapists are specialists in the study of movement and in the prescription of therapeutic exercises. Each client will receive specific exercises to improve his/her condition. These exercises can be designed to improve mobility, flexibility, strength, coordination, balance and stability, with the goal of decreasing symptoms and improving function.
- Education
Education is a very important aspect of physiotherapy as it helps to minimize recurrences. Clients are taught about optimal posture in various positions as well as how to perform their activities of daily living safely.
- Modalities
Various treatment modalities such as ice, heat, ultrasound, muscle stimulation, TENS, interferential stimulation and biofeedback can be used to help decrease symptoms and re-educate muscle function.
- Therapeutic Taping
Taping can be used to support injured joints or muscles, to facilitate proper muscle recruitment as well as to give feedback regarding posture correction.
- Breathing Retraining
Many people breathe inefficiently which can alter their respiratory chemistry and lead to a multitude of physical symptoms. Overbreathing can easily be treated by the use of biofeedback (using a capnotrainer instrument) to retrain optimal breathing patterns, which can help to alleviate chronic symptoms.

- Pelvic Floor Retraining
This treatment consists of a variety of techniques including: exercises, computerized biofeedback to help patients recruit the appropriate muscles as well as neuromuscular electrical stimulation for muscle re-education.

Osteopathy:
This treatment approach treats the person as a whole and evaluates all the tissues of the body, that is, tension of the fascial tissue around the organs, between the layers of soft tissues and around the joints. The osteopath seeks the origin of the symptoms and makes links between the various tissues that have lost their normal mobility.
Massage Therapy:
This approach complements manual therapy by helping to decrease muscle and fascial tension. It also improves the circulation of blood and lymph and decreases stress. The massage therapist may offer various approaches such as: Swedish massage, lymphatic drainage, myofascial therapy and ostéodynamie. For more information on Massage Therapy, download the brochure .
Acupuncture:
This is a form of therapy where sterile needles are inserted in small energy channels which are called meridians in traditional Chinese Medicine. Acupuncture stimulates the innate capacity of the body to heal itself and to restore normal equilibrium.
